Spooky Self Care

It’s October, which means Halloween is right around the corner! It’s an exciting time of the year, but it’s also getting colder, which means it’s easier to get the sniffles. Take some time this month to take care of yourself amidst the spooky festivities.
Face Masks: Don’t let the change in seasons affect your skin! Give your skin the attention it deserves with a hydrating face mask. Added bonus: you can double the face mask as a scaring tactic. Apply the face mask for 15 mins, and before you’re ready to take it off, hide in the closet and attempt to scare your loved one (because after all, it is spooky season).
Treats: Trick-or-treating shouldn’t be limited to just kids on Halloween night. Open up the door for yourself. Indulge in a little chocolate…or a lot.
Movie Night: Plan a Halloween movie night for yourself or with your family and friends. Movies are the perfect way to wind down. Some of my favorite Halloween movies- The Adams Family, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Hocus Pocus.
Paint Pumpkins: Carving pumpkins can be stressful, and it never comes out the way you imagined. Instead, try painting your pumpkin. Put your art skills to work on a small or big pumpkin with acrylic paint. Go spooky, cute, or something out of the ordinary! Be creative and enjoy the process.
No matter what you do this month, be safe and take care of yourself amidst the crazy Halloween season.
